in other walks of life, there are sharks and cranks about.
The choice is yours but here are some of my personal warnings.
Approach with
caution:
Any religion that asks you for money
or claims that it will make you rich. Spiritual power
can be used for anything, including getting rich, but
beware. If you go after riches, you may not get anything
else.
Any religion that claims to initiate
you into secrets or uses the word "esoteric"
a lot.
Anyone who may be exploiting your
weaknesses.
Anyone who quotes a lot from the
Book of Revelation, specially if they call "Revelations".
Any religion that tries obsessively
to interest you in the pyramids or the Temple of Solomon.
