What
is religion?
Our connection with another world. Do you feel you need
one? Do you need to dismiss all religion?
Why do we need it?
Why do we need food? education?... It's the third in that
series. We have a body, mind, spirit. Do you feel a spiritual
void?
How can you believe
in....?
Religion isn't about belief. Beliefs are formulated to explain
religious experience. Does the idea of religious experience
irritate you?.. attract you?
Is there an afterlife?
I don't know. Do you want one? Are you clinging to life
- you own or someone else's?
Are all religions saying
the same thing?
They seem to be appealing to the same area of human experience.
The area that takes you out of your self?
Is there a God?
God is a word. A way of putting it. Is it a word you need
to use?
Can anyone make up
their own religion?
Everyone already does. Organised religions provide a framework
that some people recognise. Everyone adds their own variations.
Why do religions cause
wars?
They don't. People want to kill each other and look for
a good excuse. Do you need to see your anger and violence
in someone else?
Do I have to join a
group?
No. Religion is a personal, as well as a group activity.
Does it cost anything?
No.
